Mount Meru, at 4,568 mt above sl - is the fifth highest mountain in Africa and offers one of the most challenging climbs. Once as high as Kilimanjaro, two hundred and fifty thousand years ago an explosion blew out the entire eastern side of the mountain, leaving only the vast crater you can see nowadays. © L'immagine è di Nick Fraser.
