La formazione rocciosa conosciuta come la torre di lava (Lava Tower).

The rock formation called the Lava Tower. The highest point, 4,630 meters (15,000 feet) on the 3rd day hike. Even though the slope is not very steep, it is strenuous hiking, and we go very slow. From here we hike back down to Barranco Camp for the night. The idea is to acclimate to the altitude by hiking high, sleeping low.
