The church of Santa Margherita d'Antiochia 'Saint Margaret of Antioch' was buit in 1318 in Ligurian Gothic style. Expanded between 1500 and 1600. It stands on a cliff overlooking the sea protected by a row of rocks. According to an old legend, along the coast it was found a box of finger bones of Santa Margherita. The people built a church in honor of the Saint in the Isolotto district. But then for a strong rough sea, the relic disappeared and reappeared later in the same place where it was found the first time. It was decided then to build the church overlooking the sea where it is today.
