Five Lands (Cinque Terre) - Monterosso, Aurora Tower
Built around the year 1000, the Aurora Tower was annexed to the properties of the Republic of Genoa in the second half of the '200 and was fortified in order to resist the incursions of the barbarians and Pisani. Built in the past to defend the country from pirate attacks, it is located on the hill of the Capuchins. Today it is a private house and separates the old town from the modern. - See the Five Lands (Cinque Terre) map with a complete picture set.
