At the center of Anghkor Thom is an open space called the royal square, with a pair of broad terraces on one side (Elephant and Leper King), and twelve identical towers on the other. Suor Prat means rope dancers -- based on the suggestion that tighrope walkers originally cavorted from one to the other, but there is no historical evidence for this.
