Ferry (Ponton) to cross the
Nile in
Atbara, nice little town at the confluence of the
Nile with the
Atbara River, the last affluent before the Mediterranean sea. The
Ponton is the only way to cross the Nile where bridges are not yet available. During these occasions it is possible to have a taste of nubian hospitality and to make interesting encounters. -
